CVS 7/6/08

Hello fellow CVSers!!

This week didn't look too exciting at first glance and I didn't have a lot of ECBs to work with (only 7.99 and 3.00 haha), but once I started to complile my list, I came up with a plan that I was happy with. And to my shock, CVS had everything I wanted!! Yeah!! I think I spent about as much time in line being rung up as I did shopping for everything. The cashier was new and the scanner was not liking any of my coupons today... But, after all was said and done, I was happy.

This all cost me $4.22 ($1.22 OOP and $3.00 in ECBs)
First Transaction:
(2) Dawn Dish Soaps - 2.00
(2) Pringles chips - 2.00
(2) Pert shampoos - 5.00
(1) CVS pantyliners - .99
(1) CVS tampons - 1.49
(1) Playtex tampons - 4.99
(2) Sure deodorants - 5.78
(1) CVS advanced healing lotion - 1.49
Coupons used:
(2) $1 off Dawn
(2) $3 off Pert
(1) $1 off Playtex
(1) B1G1 free Sure
(1) $1 off Sure
(1) $2 off CVS skincare
7.99 ECBs
Total: $2.52 oop (thought that was kind of high and didn't notice until my 3rd transaction that the scanner didn't take my B1G1 free Sure, so they ended up reimbursing me for that)
ECBs earned: 1.00 for Dawn, 1.00 for Pringles, 3.00 for Sure, .99 for pantyliners, 1.49 for cvs tampons, 3.00 for Playtex tampons

Second Transaction:

(1) Gillette Body Wash - 3.99
(1) Olay Ribbons Body Wash - 5.99
(1) Olay cleansing cloths - 5.99
(1) Olay cleanser - 4.99
(1) CVS hand lotion - 1.49
Coupons used:
(1) $1 off Gillette
(1) $2 off Ribbons
(2) $3 off Olay moisturizer/cleanser
(1) $2 off CVS skin care
$12.48 in ECBs (..I think! haha...bad thing about doing multiple transactions)
Total: $.59
Received: 10.00 for Olay

Third (and final!) Transaction:
(2) Febreze fabric refreshers - 7.98
(2) Febreze air effects - 5.00
(1) CVS pantyliners - .99
(2) Dawn dish soaps - 2.00
(2) Pert shampoos - 5.00
(2) candy as fillers - 1.00
(1) Insect bite spray - 1.99
Coupons used:
(2) B1G1 free Febreze
(2) $1 off Dawn
(1) $2 off CVS skincare
(2) $3 off Pert (though she only scanned one of them in for the item price (2.50), don't know why because the other 3 coupons worked just fine.. oh well.
$10 in ECBs
Total: $.62
ECBs received: 5.00 for Febreze, 1.00 for Dawn, .99 for pantyliners

So... I walked in with $10.99 in ECBs, spent $1.22 OOP, and walked out with 7.99 in ECBs and a crapload of stuff!! =)
Just ONCE, I would like to go into CVS, them have ALL of what I want to buy AND not have any trouble checking out... ::sigh:: I guess that is the price to pay for saving so much money, though, right?? lol
How did everyone else do??

The BOGO Sure is a mail-in rebate. If you still have it, perhaps you can try it!

You are my hero. I'm copying everything you did tomorrow.

wow!! I thought i had a good scenario until I saw yours and mine went out the window. Thanks SO much for this...I tweaked yours a little to fit what I had and am walking out with the same amount of ECBs and a crap load of stuff too :)

Did the Dawn give 2 $1 ECB or do you have 2 cards?

I was one of the lucky ones that received B1G1 coupons for the Sure in the 6/29 paper. I know a lot people in other areas got the MIR.... weird how they have different coupons in different areas...

Aw shucks! I'm blushing! LOL
I hope it worked out as well for you! :)

I'm glad that my plan could help you! Coming up with scenarios is hard work! haha

The deal for the Dawn is buy 2/$2 and get $1 ECB. So with the $1 off coupons, they are basically paying US a dollar to buy them. Gotta love that! :)
